Lincoln Tech has eight welding schools across the country. They offer three different welding programs that differ in specialized material.
They each feature the three most-used processes in welding: shielded metal arc welding, metal inert gas, gas metal arc welding and more. The programs begin with an in-depth study of the properties of different metals and then move forward to hands-on training.
Students must pass a required 10-hour OSHA-approved safety orientation. Each instructor at the institute is a certified welder with a minimum of five years of full-time industry experience, so you will be in good hands! The instructors are also certified by the American Welding Society.

Bristol TEC offers programs that give students a real-world advantage in the competitive job market. They enroll students entering grades 11, 12, and post-graduates.
The Welding and Metal Fabrication program is a one-year intensive training program; the school year is 10-months in duration. This program is designed to teach students basic career skills and prepare them to enter the workforce. The program is 900 clock hours that can be used as credit toward a state-approved apprenticeship training program.
Students learn about shop math, blueprint reading and welding safety. Once the course is completed, students are eligible for certification testing to American Welding Society standards.

Porter & Chester Institute is a career education and training institute that is designed to give students the skills they need to become valued employees.
The hybrid, online and on-campus learning models offer students the flexibility they need to graduate in 10 months.
Graduates earn a diploma at the end of the program while also coming away with training in safety principles, identifying at-risk behavior, creating safety plans and more.

Asnuntuck Community College offers two programs for welding training: The Technology Studies – Advanced Manufacturing Welding Technology (A.S Degree) or the Advanced Welding Certificate.
The A.S provides comprehensive training in welding principles, processes and applications. Receiving an average grade of “C” or higher allows students to automatically continue at CSCU Universities’ School of Technology, University of Hartford, and Fairfield University. This allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree in several different fields.
Students receive detailed knowledge and advanced skills in order to succeed quickly in the workforce. The certificate provides students with detailed knowledge of welding principles. Students will be able to apply basic metallurgy principles and understand advanced theories.

Barzetti Welding has led the field in precision TIG welding techniques since 1958. All of their welding practices comply with stringent military or American Society of Mechanical Engineers specifications.
They offer training to students 13 years old or older. Barzetti Welding teaches everything from basics to occupational welding and offers classes year-round.
The pricing is determined by class time; the first class students take is 40 minutes of safety and equipment training that is followed by 20 minutes of hands-on welding. The school also offers welding certifications.
