One of the top places to learn traditional arts like stained glass is the world-renowned John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown. This institution inspired by Danish folk schools has offered quality arts and crafts education for nearly 100 years. 

While North Carolina is famous for its large arts institutions, the state is also home to many stained glass artists offering classes in private studios.

John C. Campbell Folk School has been providing world-renowned arts and crafts education since 1925. The school offers over 800 classes on its sprawling 280 acre campus. 

Classes at the Folk School are noncompetitive. The peaceful, natural environment allows students to learn at their own pace and dive deep into their chosen craft. Depending on the chosen class, students can live on campus to experience all that the Folk School has to offer. 

The John C. Campbell Folk School offers several stained glass classes. Students can craft their own prairie style panels modeled after those of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Tiffany copper foil method is taught in this class option.
