Little Glass Art has two studios in Colorado and they both offer classes for a variety of skill levels. The studio has classes that are designed “for any crafty(ish) person to enjoy.”

One unique thing that Little Glass Art offers is virtual classes! You can either learn via YouTube videos with written material, or you can schedule a live virtual session.

The studio offers a masterclass in the copper foil method of stained glass which is perfect for someone new to the art. The class includes all the tools, materials, and supplies that are needed. In this course, students do not learn to cut glass; the instructors find that there’s a higher success rate when students can focus on mastering the medium first.

This is a great studio to begin your stained glass journey!

Boulder Stained Glass is owned by Linda Ehlers and she has opened her studio to support both beginner and advanced stained glass students.

Beginners can learn the steps of the copper foil method and can pick out their own glass 24 hours or more before the first class. Advanced students can work on whatever project they would like at their own pace.

Keep in mind that these classes do not include tools; however, you can rent, purchase, or bring your own tools. Materials are also not included in the price, but you can pay $75.00 for materials or you can bring your own.

This studio is essentially a place for students to have an area to work on their projects, more than it is an all-things-provided art studio.


3) Carol’s Creative Glass, LLC

Carol’s Creative Glass, LLC strives to support artists all over the Colorado Springs area. Her website says they are devoted to bringing out the artist in every one of their students and they offer a fun, relaxing, and well-rounded artistic experience.

Students receive around 12 to 16 hours of instruction over 3 to 4 weeks. The classes are step-by-step and teach students pattern development, glass selection, cutting glass, shaping/grinding glass, soldering and finishing.

The classes are limited in size so that each student has a unique and personal learning experience. All supplies and materials are provided in the beginning lead class.

Northern Colorado Stained Glass (NCSG) was established in 1973 and has classes for everyone.

NCSG offers a $10.00 “Bring A Friend” discount on certain classes, so this is a great studio to go to for a hangout!

The classes vary in time from a single one hour class to a three or four-session class that lasts for several hours. Be sure to check their website to see if you need to bring or pay for materials. Some of their classes provide the essentials, but others do not.

The studio does sell all the tools you need to make your stained glass designs, so don’t fret about not having them!

Most of the classes are available on an “as needed” basis, and the instructors are happy to work with their students’ schedules. Not only are the schedules flexible, but if you have any ideas or requests for classes, they do their best to provide them!

Full Spectrum Art Glass offers special pricing for groups of seven – attend a class for free or take $5.00 off everyone’s class fee. The studio’s classes are open to all levels of artists.

Eco Spirit Designs is a great studio to go to if you are starting in the stained glass field. Their copper foil classes teach the traditional style of building a flat panel with glass, copper foil, and solder.

Students learn the basics of pattern preparation, glass cutting and grinding, foiling, soldering and finishing. This class meets once a week for four weeks!

This class does not include materials, but the studio does offer a material fee of $50-75, depending on the project. They also offer an art strips workshop that is a great introduction to leaded stained glass!

This class includes materials and the use of tools and is a one-session class (four hours). If you are interested in Eco Spirit Designs classes, make sure to call the studio – they work by appointment only.


7) AEI Studio
