1) Paul’s Stained Glass Class

Paul’s Stained Glass studio offers a four-week class that is two hours per session twice a week.

The class starts with a safety session and moves on to teaching students about the tools. The class teaches students how to use the tools, how to design the piece, and how to add style to their work!

Copper foiling and soldering are two specific techniques covered in the beginner course.

Art Glass Supply’s beginner classes are one-day sessions of about five hours where students can make one of six copper foil projects. Students choose their own colors and make suncatchers in a range of designs. 

Upon completion of Art Glass Supply’s stained glass class, students will have the confidence and skills necessary to make their own small and simple projects at home. 

The studio offers a $10 discount per student when you have a group of three or four students. Since the class is up to five hours long, the instructor allows students to bring snacks with them as well. The price includes the five hours of instruction as well as the necessary supplies.

Custom Stained Glass is a stained glass shop and studio that is run by artist Sandy Stevens. She has been a stained glass artist for over 37 years and teaches classes for all skill levels.

The studio offers classes for any age six and up and offers classes for individuals or private groups of up to four people.

Since Sandy Stevens can teach any skill and age level, she offer classes that have something for everyone! From suncatchers to garden gnomes, the classes are fun and students get to choose their own colors. Stevens teaches foiling, grinding, cutting and soldering.

The Stained Glass Window is a one-of-a-kind studio and retreat owned and run by Linda Vizenor. She has been working with glass since the 1970s. After moving to Alaska in the 1980s, Vizenor began creating stained glass images of the state’s beautiful landscapes, wildlife, plants, and flowers. 

The Stained Glass Window offer classes for locals and tourists. Classes include a stay in Vizenor’s beautiful cabin. Nightly rentals are offered so you can relax and take classes from the same inspiring location! Vizenor’s classes usually last about six weeks but she is willing to arrange special one-day workshops. The class includes the use of the studio, materials, instruction and tools.
